Elie khoury of albury orthopaedics has been working in the albury - wodonga region since 1999. Mr Khoury specialises in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery, Arthroplasty and Sports Medicine. Since that time mr. Khoury has developed a thriving practice providing specialist orthopaedic care in hip and knee surgery for both public and privately insured patients.

We welcome all referrals for both local and regional patients. Al bury orthopedics provides the subsequent services for local and regional patients: Hip replacement surgery, with a special specialty in hip resurfacing. Al bury orthopedics is headed by Mr Elbe Khoury who specialisms in, and is dedicated to providing specialist hip and knee surgery to patients of all ages with exceptional specialty in hip resurfacing. In some cases, he may need to refer you for further brays or an MRI to aid in the diagnosis of your condition. For your initial consultation, please remember to bring: Smoking is the single maximum crucial risk factor for the development of complications after any orthopedic surgery. You can reduce your risk of complication by stopping smoking at minimum six weeks prior your surgery. Blood thinning tablets, such as aspirin or warfarin and some anti inflammatory tablets are fair a few of the tablets that need to be stopped. The hospital staff will telephone you the day prior your procedure to let you know what time to arrive at the hospital. Maximum pain usually resolves within a few days but can take up to 6 weeks after surgery to fully resolve. You should be given a prescription for pain medication before you leave the hospital. If your pain is not managed with this prescription, you should see your regular GP for further pain management. Some swelling around the surgical site is conventional and will usually resolve within a couple of weeks. Strict pain, tenderness or increased swelling that is not relieved by rest and elevation. Please ensure that you get the pictures printed out and bring them with you to your appointment. We do inquire that you bear a detailed referral indicating the history and severity of the condition. All patients need to bring their recent Bray pictures with them to their initial visit. When this bursa becomes irritated or inflamed, it causes pain in the hip.
